Ryan Murphy

O & M Manager

Ryan’s career began with the completion of the prestigious IET Power Academy Scholarship with Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE). He studied Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Queens University Belfast and graduated with a First Class Honours Masters Degree. He then went on to join NIE’s Graduate programme, gaining experience as an Asset Engineer.

Ryan’s primary role at EDS is Asset Manager.  This entails development, delivery and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures relating to EDS’s Asset Management responsibilities across their portfolio of Client HV Networks.

As well as his primary role, Ryan has significant input to the management of the EDS Control Centre. He has been instrumental in the development of ControlPoint, EDS’s innovative software solution, specifically developed for the coordination of HV Operations and Safety Management.
