EDS HV Group strengthen skills with further specialist training

A team of EDS’s HV maintenance specialists have successfully completed training to further improve their skill levels.

The team have received training in Protection Testing from the Faraday Centre as well as Trip Coil Profiling training from Camlin Power. The training follows significant investment in specialist equipment and is part of the robust competency programme that EDS have in place to ensure that their staff remain at the forefront of the industry. The training has enhanced the skills level of the team, allowing them to continue performing complex maintenance on high voltage assets.

Ryan Murphy, Asset Manager at EDS said:

“The seasonality of the O&M market gives us downtime that we use wisely to invest in the training and competency of our staff in preparation for the busy maintenance season in summer. We are undertaking a programme to multi skill the teams.  This has the double benefit of ensuring that the team is trained to the highest standards but also ensuring that productivity is maximised.  This ultimately benefits our clients and supports our mission of helping to maximise their network availability at the same time as reducing the levelised cost of energy.”

Our thanks go to Camlin Power and the Faraday Centre for excellent training courses.
